Festival Gala Concert
The Palestine Mozart Festival closes in the same place that it began 14 days earlier, with special collaborative performances between local musicians and visiting professionals from Europe. The Palestine Mozart Festival Chorus and Orchestra (comprising members of the Choir of London, the Choir of the Custody of the Holy Land, the Jerusalem Chorus, the Olive Branches Choir and Zaridash, with orchestral students and teachers from the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music, the Barenboim-Said Foundation and Al-Kamandjâti Foundation, alongside visiting German musicians sponsored by the Goethe-Institut) performing with Palestinian and European soloists under the direction of one of the UK’s top choral conductors, Timothy Brown. Mozart’s sublime Requiem is the centrepiece of the concert, alongside other choral, orchestral, chamber and solo works.
