Celebrity Recital
World-renowned Palestinian pianist Saleem Abboud Ashkar plays an extremely rare Jerusalem recital, featuring works for solo piano alongside chamber works including the “Kegelstatt” Trio for piano, clarinet and viola. Alongside the complete piano sonata K.331 (including Mozart’s famed Rondo alla turca) he will play Haydn’s D major sonata H.37, very much a companion piece to Mozart’s later work. Appearing with Saleem will be his brother Nabeel Abboud Ashkar (violin), Simon Hewitt Jones (violin), Chris Brown (viola), Sophie Rivlin (cello) and Douglas Metcalf (clarinet). This recital is an unmissable opportunity to experience first-hand the mastery of one of Palestine’s foremost international performers.
